The
2008 season concluded with the Lady Chiefs finishing with a respectable
6-8 record. As a first year Varsity team, this was an outstanding
season. Throughout the course of the season the Lady Chiefs
improved dramatically under the guidance of Coaches Schmehling, Korpon
and Kelley.
2008 Cardinal Gibbons Girls Soccer season
ended with an amazing 19-7-3 record winning districts against Archbishop McCarthy. The Lady Chiefs won
regional matches against Reagan Doral HS and beat
Archbishop McCarthy before falling in the
Regional Finals
against Merritt Island, 2-1 in overtime.
